Fakhar Zaman OUT Of Champions Trophy 2025, Imam-ul-Haq IN

Pakistan’s opening batsman, Fakhar Zaman, has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025 due to an injury. He shared this news on his social media. The Pakistan Cricket Board has included Imam-ul-Haq in the team as his replacement.

During the Pakistan vs New Zealand match on Wednesday, Fakhar Zaman suffered an injury while fielding in the 2nd over of match. As a result, he left the field for some time but returned after about half an hour to continue fielding. Due to this, he was only able to bat after a 25-minute delay, as per ICC rules.

After the match, scans revealed an oblique tear, which means Fakhar will miss the India vs Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy 2025, as well as the remaining matches of the tournament.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Technical Committee approved Imam-ul-Haq as Fakhar Zaman’s replacement in the Pakistan’s squad.

It is worth noting that the Pakistan vs India match in the Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, 23rd February. The Pakistan team will depart for Dubai on Thursday to prepare for the high-profile clash.
