Meta Fired 20 Employees For Data Leakage

Tech giant Meta has announced the termination of 20 employees for allegedly leaking confidential information to the media. The company has warned that further dismissals may follow as it tightens measures to prevent internal data leaks.
A Meta spokesperson stated that employees are regularly reminded—both at the time of hiring and through periodic notices—that sharing confidential information is a violation of company policy.
Reacting strongly to the situation, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed frustration, stating, “I will no longer speak as openly about company matters. We strive for transparency, but when everything gets leaked, it becomes incredibly disappointing.”
He further cautioned employees, saying, “Be prepared for next year, as major changes are coming to the company.”
