Government of Pakistan Confirms 3-Day Holiday Official Announcement 2026

Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the biggest Islamic festivals in Pakistan. It comes after the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims celebrate this day with prayers, family gatherings, gifts, and helping poor people. Every year the government announces public holidays so people can celebrate peacefully.
This year also the government has announced 3 days public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr across Pakistan. Schools, colleges, offices and many businesses remain closed during these days so families can spend time together.
According to the official public holiday schedule for 2026, Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be observed on 21 March, 22 March and 23 March in Pakistan.
Expected Chand (Moon) Date
Eid date depends on moon sighting. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee checks the Shawwal moon and then confirms Eid day.
If the moon is seen earlier, Eid starts next day. If not, Ramadan completes 30 days and Eid comes after that.
