Jaffar Express Attack Update: Terrorists Positioned Suicide Bombers Among Hostages

The terrorists reportedly positioned suicide bombers among the hostages, complicating the rescue efforts. The suicide bombers are using women and children as shields, holding them hostage in three different locations. Due to the presence of women and children near the bombers, the operation is being conducted with extreme caution.
Security forces are continuing their operation following a terrorist attack on the Jaafar Express traveling from Quetta to Peshawar near Bolan yesterday. So far, 155 hostages have been rescued, and 27 terrorists have been killed during the operation. According to security sources, 37 injured individuals have been sent for medical treatment.
A rescued passenger shared his experience, saying, “There was heavy firing, but thanks to Allah, the army and FC personnel brought us to safety.” He expressed gratitude to the security forces for their efforts in rescuing and safely evacuating the hostages.
A help desk has been set up at Rawalpindi Railway Station to provide information about the incident. DS Nooruddin Dawar stated that information about any passenger can be obtained through the help desk, which is in contact with Quetta and Peshawar control centers.
The attack on the Jaafar Express occurred yesterday near Pine Railway Station in Kachhi Bolan. Terrorists hijacked the train and took 400 passengers hostage. As the train approached Sibi, the terrorists blew up the railway track and opened fire from the mountains, injuring the train driver. The injured driver managed to move the train back into a tunnel, where it was surrounded by terrorists from both sides.
